Hello all!

Well, finally pulled the trigger on a 2015 Lariat F-150(501a) yesterday. The previous Saturday I almost went and finished a deal at a local dealership for a fully loaded XLT (FULLY LOADED is not an underestimate MSRP 52k, was looking at $41700 after rebates and what not).

Friday night I came home from work and my wife showed me a listing from Lithia Ford in Boise. It was a Lariat though, but was reasonably close to the XLT(MSRP $54ish). So I thought what the heck might as well try and see if I could work some magics. So I called them up and told them I'd like to make a deal but needed some motivation to make the 7 HR drive. Well long story short they got within $800 of the XLT price. ($42495). Gave my local dealership a chance to match and they refused.

So yesterday made the drive and got home tonight. Got to test it in some minor (very minor even for OR) snow conditions too. I think I had a ridiculous grin the entire drive home. Made the switch from a 2001 Honda Civic that I had driven for the last 12 years (since 10th grade 202k miles). This thing surprises me with something new each time I hop in. Could not be happier. Unfreakingbelievable.

Drove next to a guy driving an 08ish F150 and exchanged a nod of mutual approval while cruising down the highway. Pumped to be a part of the family.

Cannot wait to learn everything and make it truly mine.
