I have a Ford F-150 Extended Cab pick up. It has the 4.6 Triton V-8. I think the master cylinder on the clutch has quit working and needs to be replaced. It appears to be relatively easy replacement. Does anyone have any experience replacing these? Anything I need to know to make it easy? The symptoms my truck is showing are as follows: The clutch, pressure plate were replaced late 09. When you press on the pedal, at first there seems to be some resistance. However, the more you use the clutch the less resistance there is when you press the pedal. After two or three times the pedal will go to the floor and when you try to put the truck into gear, then it grinds. If you pump the pedal quickly, then it seems to build enough pressure to allow the clutch to operate correctly. I can also hear a rush of air, at least that it what it sounds like, when the clutch pedal is pressed. Does this sound like a clutch master cylinder issue? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

have you checked your clutch fluid?

Yes, I have checked the fluid level and it is full. There are also no wet areas around the master cylinder or the transmission to make me believe that I have a fluid leak. I did not add any fluid to it, so as far as I know it does not have a leak anywhere.
