Cool Broke my Ford Truck Cherry

My name is Frank, and I'm from CT. I just bought my first Ford Truck, and so far I like it. I'm typically a GM guy, but wanted to change it up a bit. Anybody from the NOrtheast?

Frank,

Welcome to the site. According to some mastermind here, I'm from the Northeast. But in reality, I'm deep into the heart of Virginia and if my knowledge of history is any indicator, was the capitol of the Confederacy. And if my limited knowledge of geography is correct, I'm smack dab in what is often called the Mid-Atlantic part of the country.

Anyway, rant aside, welcome from a former Chevy guy also. At one time everyone in my family and extended family had GM vehicles. Now, everyone in my immediate family has at least one Ford. And my son seems to be a Ford Fanatic (don't know where that came from j/k) My own personal opinion is that GM sometimes does a good job of making nice looking vehicles but they seem to be designed to go about 100k then self destruct. Ford seems to make some pretty boring vehicles (Trucks, SUVs and the Mustang aside) but the exceptions are the ones I like and they seem to hit the mark for the job they're designed to do. In other words, the Mustang is suppose to be an inexpensive sporty car with good to excellent performance that can be modified easily. Trucks are designed to be "Ford Tough" and they're designed to work and play hard.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm sure you'll love your new truck as much as I love the one I just picked up.
