Boring!
Hello to everyone!
I'm looking for some advice...had to trade my GT convertible for a truck to support my newly opened business. I traded for a 97 F150 Lariat...4.6L, short bed, only 80k miles on it. I was initially excited thinking "well it shouldn't be too bad" I mean it has the same motor as my GT did, right? NO SIR!!! This thing is a pig! No pep at all!!! So I said to myself "There must be 1000 hop-ups for it it's a 4.6L.....I can't find crap!
I'm considering selling it off and getting something else if I can't get some umph out of this thing.
So here's my question...is anyone else going through this? What can I do to wake this thing up?

That PIG weighs in at almost 6,000 lbs. Enjoy it for what it is - a truck.
The 4.6 is a good motor that will run forever with normal maintenance.
Put a tuner on it and you will think you got a new truck. I have an Edge Evo on mine - made a nice difference. There are other brands available also.
The tuner will give you the most bang for the buck.

gotta mod is to the air cleaner. Take plastic part at the end off and replace it with a pvc pipe allowing better air flow. Zip tie mod is to the throttle body. Taking the slack out of the throttle body cable so it opens more.

I'm gonna research it right now....
I really love the truck, I just want to wake it up. I always wanted one of these!
I traded my Mustang for her. She only has about 80k miles
