Is there a battery drain? Connect an ammeter between the battery negative post and the disconnected negative cable, observe polarity.

Put a volt meter across the battery with the truck running. It should read 13V or higher. If not, your alternator may have a problem. Get it rebuilt, with a new regulator/diodes. $40 tops.

Good luck

Ok I did that, alternator is brand new. It is only getting the battery reading. Also I changed the fusible link from the alt. to the cilinoid. Also I changed the cilinoide. Still getting the problem?.... What do I do?

Suggest getting a manual for the proper testing procedure of the entire alternator circuit. In addition to the fuseable links, I see three more fuses for the circuit. I am not experienced in testing alternators with internal voltage regulators to offer up hints. External voltage regulators were a piece of cake, the internal stuff is a different story. Am sure its easy, just never had the opportunity to test one out.

If the voltage at the battery never exceeds batt voltage, the alternator or circuit is at fault. Make sure there is battery voltage at the B+ terminal with the key off, this portion of the circuit is the same as the old external voltage regulator type. Where to go from there is up to others to assist.
