2014 F150 from OR
Great forum here, glad to join in.
I've never owned an American V8 pickup truck. Back in high school my parents did buy a 69 F250 camper special with a 390 ci engine. We had that until the automatic trans started acting up and they sold it... But the last 30 years since then and high school I've been a long time Toyota and small truck owner.
I will finally be able to shut the tail gate when I put my dirt bike in the back now! I just bought it new with 4 miles on it. The dealer filled the tank and I have 320 miles now. I know this mpg figure should be getting better but I did get 12.5 on this tank, it took 25 gallons. This will be strange putting more than 14 gallons in a fuel tank. So will being able to pass people (no more 4 cylinder for me), hearing the sound of V8 muscle, a 6 speed auto trans, and having a roomy interior and full size box.
I work at a Porsche/Audi dealership and what Ford provides with the Sync system you'd have to a few thousand bucks for the nav/multimedia entertainment system. Although the Audi MMI is capable of much more, the basics are included with the truck, Bluetooth, handsfree phone, voice control, getting texts etc.
It's got E-locking rear diff, sports package with center console and 20 inch wheels, 5.0 engine, tow package and Line-x bed liner. I went with the s-crew since the kids are grown and it's almost never more than one other person with me. I wanted the longer 6.5 bed rather than the shorter bed but 4 doors. Either way these trucks look great. I'm really happy with the entire truck.
Virginity was popped on the 5th day of ownership, and 2nd day driving it to work. A coworker forgot to set his e-brake and on an almost flat parking lot his car rolled into the LF corner bumper area and left some pretty deep scratches. All buffed out but a half inch section left a scratch. Good thing his car was plastic in that area, it had some give to it.
So now I have to get used to a longer wheelbase, and when backing up a much taller box that is a bit hard to see over.
I'll shut up now, here are photo's!

Thanks guys, plan on leaving it stock for a while. Although I am told by local Ford truck friend owners that if you get Roush exhaust through Ford motorsports division that it won't void the warranty. I would be researching that before pulling the trigger of course. But exhaust is a possible upgrade I can't live without.
