Hello everyone! I just purchased (Monday, the day before the incentives dropped) a Sterling Gray 2012 F-150 SuperCrew FX2 with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine in it. This is my first F-150 and my first Full-size but I've had 2 Rangers in the past. My last truck was a 2003 Ranger Edge with the 4.0 L V6. It's pretty cool to get into a new full-size that has better mileage, more HP, and a whole lot more towing capacity and interior room than my last mid-size! I have already put this site to good use and used Plasti-dip to black out my badges. Next step is to remove the EcoBoost badges. I'd like to add a COI and an exhaust system but I need to save up the cash first...From my limited research it looks like the only air intake for the 2012 ecoboost is made by AFE for around $248...any other options out there?

Welcome.. I have had my Ecoboost sense last fall and I have towed alot with it, pulling a heavy travel trailer over steep mountain passes IT'S GREAT I can go up passes at any speed and never run out of power. You are going to love the power it already has. And if you take it easy on it you'll get great gas mileage, I get 21.6 most weeks to and from work part city mostly hwy. and up to 24 mpg on a long road trip if I stay around 60mph. Looks like you picked out a really great truck, have fun.
