Default 2009 F150 heat/ac selector problem

My heat and AC selector switch seems to have switched positions.. When I start it up, I can hear a clicking noise in the dash that stops after a minute or so. If you select heat, it blows cold, and if you select cold it blows heat. Since it's cold as hell in Michigan right now, I think the cold is actually just blowing ambient air. So, what I'm thinking is that it's a stepper motor trying to turn the blend door, but not engaging. It's a mechanical control unit, not digital. Anyone else had this problem and am I thinking in the right direction here?

Yup, Blendoor or the actuator. The plastic socket in the door can split open and the actuator just clicks as it spins. Unfortunately the door replacement requires complete dash removal and getting into the heater core/ ac box. Check out this video for a similar idea of what it takes. Good luck.

Cool, thanks for the help. I should have thought to look up a video on YouTube... That helps a lot!
