Hey guys,

I used to have a 2005 FX4 and now I jumped into a 2009 FX4. The car needs just a few little things but I can't complain since I got a GREAT deal. Its on a truck going cross country to be deliver.

1. The Passenger Front Door has a swipe on it. I want to replace the entire shell. My question is... would a Regular Cab or SuperCrew DOOR from a 04-08 also work on it? They look to be the same but you maestros would know better than me.

2. It has CD Sync without nav/with Sony... so its just basic. I have been looking into a Double Din kit with a Pioneer AVIC. Anyone with experience on this conversion can throw me a clue? I know I need a new face plate with the double din brackets... but just a basic conversion harness? Also volume control module doesn't interfere with any other steering wheel buttons? The USB port and all that is worthless now right?




3. Has anyone had a somewhat less expensive Raptor-style grille? I was thinking about buying that ugly OOOO grill and overlaying the aluminum cutout letters (maybe with a plastic base to overlay completely over OOOO). Then likely spraying it all down in black. Check out what I mean below.





4. Aftermarket heating to seats? Anyone actually install one of these kits? Really hard to accept life without heated seats. I hear the new aftermarket kits are good but without any exact recommendation of brand/model.

5. How to install Remote Start? Pretty straightforward?

6. I'd like to add some big fat flares ala Raptor but I don't want the rivets. Anyone have a good recommendation?

7. Any must have for these bad boys?

8. Any website I can enter my VIN and get the full options list on it?


Sorry for being so damn annoying. I'd really really appreciate any help. I'm a BMW/Porsche fanatic... first time joining a truck forum.
