We'd do it

I think mudpie may be on to something. If you have power to everything the next item is what tells when to spark. If you'd like to make sure everything has power I checked the manual and the same fuse gives power to the distributor, coil, and ignition control module. Each one will have a red wire with a light green stripe. This is the power wire. Or you can jump right into the distributor. The manual is calling this sensor the TFI-IV or DI distributor stator (PIP sensor). It also says that if it is malfunctioning, we should have gotten a code when you checked the computer. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way. I have LOTS of mechanical experience, but when I tried to change one of these, I ended up destroying the distributor. You can try it, you might have better luck, but don't buy the sensor until you have the distributor apart. They generally don't return electrical parts. I ended up buying a new distributor which wasn't too expensive at the parts store.
