Default Wheels

Has anyone ever waxed their wheels and chrome? If so what wax did you use?

I bought what's called Wheel Wax, but haven't gotten around to using it yet.

As the wheels are clear coated, treat them like paint.
Wash, clay if you want, polish, wax, spray wax.

I find that Meguiars Ultimate line works very well for me....from the yellow wash liquid to their spray wax. Just personal preference as I don't have a covered area to detail in so I need something that is sun friendly.

The quick wax works quite well on my Plat wheels and I'm sure you'll find the same results.

Paste works well, but I find that the liquid is a little easier to work with. A synthetic wax (polymer not carnuba) will typically hold up better against the heat of the brakes, etc.

Yeah I've heard that from a lot of people ill use liquid wax next time... How often do you wax your truck? The majority of people I've talked to say twice a year spring and fall

Every 4-6 months for me depending on weather conditions and how beady the water is. Clay bar once a year at least, followed by polish and wax. I try to wash once a week, but at least twice a month. I follow each wash with a quick spray to help keep the wax fresh.

I just Opti Coat Pro mine and I won't have to ever wax/seal/protect my rims for as long as I own the truck.

Cheers,
