What would you use?

If it was me I would wash them clay with a fine grade and hand polish and apply some kind of a sealant or wax like collinite 845 for protection. Then it will be a breeze to maintain them, if not those cladded wheels won't last long the chrome is thin and they will pit and peal in no time.

Two before I cleaned them .
The back before I start. First I used a wet cloth to remove loose dirt and grit.
The back during the cleaning process.
The back completed.
The front completed. Not a very good pic.. But looks nice in the sun light.
NEVR-DULL. Comes in a small, round metal can. I am using it now to clean and polish my chrome rims. I remove them and put on my winter tires in the late fall. Last year when I did it I was having some really bad back problems. So I couldn't wash and clean the rims before I put them in the basement. Now They are really being a bugger to get clean. On the tougher areas, which is at the base of the spokes and the back of the rims, I have been using a bit of Turtle Wax spray Bug and Tar remover. I spray a little into the wad and let a little set on the area for a bit. Then work it till it's clean and shiny. Taking me some time to do them because of my back issues. During the summer I couldn't bend over to scrub them clean as should. I could only spray cleaner stuff on them and then hose off. Sometimes I was able to reach down with a long handle brush, but that was meager at best. Not being able to clean them regularly I developed some pits in the chrome. Once you have pits they are there. Most are on the back with a few small, minor pits in the crease of a few of the spokes. Using a bit of super fine steel wool helps with the pits but I have to be very lite. But at least I can sit in the basement and work at my own pace.

Products Used:
Eagle One Chrome & Wire Wheel Cleaner
(Easily melted away the old thick nasty brake dust)
NOTE: After use, wash and rinse wheels thoroughly!!!
Eagle One Never Dull
(Finished the job and brought out a bright shine)
Glare Professional Polish
(Sealant so they stay clean and are easily cleaned)
BTW - I found the Ford chrome is beginning to "blister and peel" in a few small places inside the wheels.
Anyone know the cause?

My original can of Nevr-Dull I've had since at least 1993. Still using it, but down to my last bit of the wad. My Dad told me about this stuff so long ago I can't remember when.

My wheels on my 150 looked horrible when I got them, something was on them from when it sat on the lot. At work someone left a can of this stuff. I figured couldn't hurt. Started on one wheel and the results were blindingly shiny. I did all 4 and have never see another f150 with the 18inch chrome wheels shine like mine does.
