Surface scratches from tree limbs
A freak storm in CT caused a lot of downed trees and because of poor driving conditions branches scracthed my clear coat on my new 2011 SCREW. Nothing deep only on the surface. My nail does not catch.
Help need a great product to fix, clean & wax before winter. No buffers will be used.
Thanks

Meguiars SCRATCH X 2.0
If your fingernail doesn't catch then I'd use Meguiars SCRATCH X 2.0. It may take a few applications and a bit of rubbing but has done a good job for me in what sounds like similar situations.
Shop around though, I have seen a range of around $3 from high to low.

It does not remove clear coat to repair it actually adds to the CC.
I use a dime sized amount on a microfiber towel to correct scratches.
I rub the area with the MF towel and Glare and in about 5 minutes it's gone.
This is not a "filler" or as-seen-on-tv wax stick that fills until you wash it.
This stuff actually bonds to the CC at a molecular level and the scratch stays gone!
