Actually, there are three "general" Last Step Products (LSP).
There's Wax (carnauba etc.), Sealant (synthetic) & coatings.
Each one has its own advantages. CQuartz Finest is a coating.

Thanks, CQ Finest is an interesting product in that it is not shiny at all.
In fact, TMK it's the only product I know of you can use on matte paint.

The "shine" achieved is all in the polishing and preparation of the paint.
I really strive for clarity and gloss when polishing a vehicle. It's worth it.

I takes a lot of time to polish, but I like to make rolling mirrors. (BIG GRIN)

An M5 is NEVER "off topic" anywhere! What an awesome car, would be the first thing on my list if I had $100k to blow on a car.

Beautiful job on the finish too btw.

What did you use for the paint correction? I saw you used Reflect as the polish, but didn't see for correction. Or where you able to use Reflect as the correction product with proper pad? Thanks in advance. Going to be doing a similar BMW soon.

For the paint correction (leveling) I honestly don't remember now.
However, my go-to products are Megs 5" DMC5 discs and D300.
If that's not enough, I'll use a combo of D300 and M101 on the disc.
Then if that's not enough, M101 straight with Megs 5" DMC5 discs.

So basically, Megs 5" DMC5 cutting discs with D300 and/or M101.
These are my go-to's but they need clarity afterward from Reflect.

Every paint finish is different an needs a "test spot" before polishing.

Thanks for the heads up and suggestions. I just ordered some m101 and reflect the other day from Autopia, so we shall see how it goes. :-)
