Not to hijack, but I have a related question. What helps to remove water spots from a chrome grill? I have a 2015 Lariat, and I got water spots on my hood and grill after only a few washes. I used this product at someone's advice:
Duragloss WSR #505 http://www.autogeek.net/duragloss-wa...t-remover.html
The water spots were not affected. They seemed to be slightly inproved when I did a sealant and wax, but they are definitely still there. Any advice? I don't want to scratch the "chrome" on the grill, since it's just applied to plastic.
Thanks!

Use a "magic eraser" on the chrome. It will do a good job and not scratch the chrome. (You're right to be concerned about the durability of chrome on plastic.)
Sealant will do nothing for removing surface imperfections like water spots.
As for the paint, much elbow grease with a wax may do it. Otherwise use a product like "scratch x" and buff lightly. That is a very subtle polish and should do it. Be sure to wax or seal afterward as the polish removes their protective properties.

Or you can try and find "White Diamond" chrome polish. It's been around forever and works very well on chromed plastic.
