Definitely check out some of the popular detailing forums for best methods. I came from Acurazine and they have a great amount of information for getting started.

The two bucket method is best for washing along with a nice sheepskin mitt. As for drying, the leaf blower is great to help the drying process. Then use a waffleweave or large microfiber towel to dry it all off.

Nothing hurts more than driving around the neighborhood watching someone dry off their black car with a bath towel. The damage they causing inflicts pain on me lol

Either way, I detail cars on the side now for the past few years and would be willing to answer any questions you guys have.

I'm located in Philadelphia if anyone wanted their truck detailed.
