As stated here in this thread (but as a reminder as this is going to be the first time you have used it).....don't use as much as you do with other waxes. Just haze the surface with an amount that you can barely see. Let it dry completely for about 15 minutes, and you simply will not believe how fast and easy it comes off. Two or three "haze" coats beats one thick coat, believe me.
As a matter of fact, once you do about half of the truck, your application pad will be wet enough to continue hazing the surfaces without additional wax from the bottle and then just tipping the bottle up against the pad for each surface.

As far as I know there are no abrasives in 845. To get light scratches our use Meg's PlastX or Mothers Plastic Polish to get out the swirls, then coat with 845

after reading the article about Collinite on autogeek, I guess I haven't been letting it sit along enough before wiping it off. I usually only wait a few minutes. I've always been happy with the results but maybe it will last longer if I wait longer.

When I did mine I started at the driver front fender and went down and all the way around to the passenger side front fender (one coat) then grabbed a cold beer and sat down, when I finished the brew I buffed it all down and 15 months later this is how it still looks.

I just finished reading most of this thread but not all of it. I apologize if this is duplicate but before I use the 845, should I use the 840 pre wax cleaner or is clay barring vehicle good enough? I am planning to use the 845 on my 90 lx 5.0 mustang and my 04 supercrew.
I love this thread! Thanks

I love this thread! Thanks
I've always clay barred before and been satisfied. This fall I'm going to try a nanoskin autoscrub pad, read good things about them.

I purchased a Tuxedo Black 2014 F-150 STX Sport SCab on August 23rd and gave her it's first coat of Collinite #845, I am so glad that I read this thread because the paint on my truck looks crazy outstanding. The metallic pops out when the sun shines on it, I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. My thanks to the members who participated in this thread for pointing me toward Collinite!

I really like the metal flake in the Tuxedo Black and the various colors it shows. After a good coat of 845, I am sure it is amazing!
