Not trying to bring an old thread back from the dead, but wanted to follow up with some of you and see how these products were holding up?

Anything new to add?

Nothing new - I posted in November that I had tried Collinite 845 and it did a nice job and easy to use. I put it on rubber and vinyl trim. What parts I waxed still look good but there has been hardly no sunshine.
Will see how it holds up when the sun comes back.

Collinite 845 is excellent on paint.

I heard of people taking the plastic pieces off, sanding, priming and painting with bed liner paint. Anyone tried this?

Been many parts painted with Krylon and other paints with good results.

When plastic gets dried out the only thing I found that works for awhile is creamy peanut butter, the grit cleans it and the oil goes into the pours for the look. Its a old detailers trick. Even on plastic headlight covers.

Best stuff to restore plastic is Bumper and Cladding coat....period!

Used it on mine and several other vehicles,it looks great and it's permanent on all plastic smooth or textured (does not fill texture like paint). It sprays on kind if watery but dries awesome and is almost impossible to mess up. Comes in about any OEM color you could want aswell..

If you are talking about restoration of the black plastic, then this is what you need.

if you are just looking to maintain the finish, a lot of what has been suggested is okay.

Cheers,
GREG

Any suggestions for restoring the "rubbery" gray interior plastic? This is around the cupholder in the folded down middle seat in my 2013. Shame the truck is less than a year old and that gray plastic is very faded and blotchy looking despite being clean and parked inside at home and at work.
