Black Wow! Works great. My trim was "grayed out" badly. Now it's dark black and shiny. It lasts a long time, too.

I just bought a 2005 FX4 SCREW and all the black plastic was faded gray (door handles, mirrors, front cowl, lower fairing etc. I had been applying back to black - looks great once applied but after any sort of rain would leave a residue line down the doors from the handles where water would trickle down. The wheel flairs look better than before the B2B but they are still streaky after getting rained on. The front cowl is really faded and I have been applying back to black on it as well. I took my power washer to the truck for the first time this past weekend and hit all the plastic parts and they look really good now. So my advice would be to powerwash first, apply B2B a few times and let it soak in - then powerwash again.

It is not rocket science. The easiest, most effective way to do this is to re-dye them. You will not keep spending time and money covering up the plastic, rather, you can fix it for good.

Please elaborate on this process. I'm tired of greasing this thing up all the time!

SEM makes the best plastic/vinyl dye.

Just follow their directions and you will get great results.

One thing i've used with good results is Turtle Wax Black Box. Its supposed to be used to wax black vehicles but the wax works really good on the plastic too. Its a black wax so it sort of dyes the plastic. Works much better than Back to Black in my opinion.

Where do you get the SEM dye?

I like the Back to Black also. I have not found anything that can just be used like once a year. I like to use the Back to Black like every 4-5 carwashs. I think the best thing that could help is if you are able to park the truck in a garage. Since most garages are small and full of junk this could prove pretty difficult for most people.

When I use RIT dye they require the product to be boiled in water while dying. Same for SEM?

Aslo, whats everyone doing for the faded plastic peices inbetween the hood and front windshield? Ive been using Driven, which works great for a week or two but dies off.
