You're saying Quick-Glo won't wash off the rims?
Sorry for the late reply.
I saw in your previous post to mine that you tried washing it off, my comment was aimed at telling you the rust will not wash off. It looks like other member's have giving you good guidance. I've never used it but that QG product sounds good and should work. GL

I've got the same issue, what did you come up with? The brakes weren't changed and this is what happened.
If the rim has a clear-coat over the aluminum finish, a few good thorough washings will get that off. Find a small soft bristled brush with simple green(if you have that in your area) which is a cleaner degreaser. Spray it on before wetting with water and apply some elbow grease. A few good washings like that should clear it up. AND/OR if they have the clear coat you can use an aircraft paint remover to remove the CC and voila. Perfectly polished aluminum wheels again. BUT, only now they'll be more sensitive to the elements, etching may occur if not properly maintained.

Nevr-dull. Best **** ever. Takes rust off anything really. As long as it's not hardcore rust lol. If it's just little spots here and there this **** will take it off and polish it like new

I finally received my order of Quick-Glo in the mail today. Check out my new shiny rims, before and after pics. Then I'll tell you how I did it! There were areas on this rim that the rust was thicker than snot. My fingers were gettin' quite sore, until I found the solution.

50/50 solution of muriatic acid and water in a spray bottle. Spray on, let it eat for about a minute, then spray off with water. Stubborn areas might need a little scrubbing with a tooth brush or equivalent tool. Be very careful with the acid. Rubber gloves, eye protection, whatever else to be safe. Works great. You can buy a gallon of this acid at your local hardware store. I use it in my hot tub.
