Default Exhaust tip cleaning tips?

Anyone have any good tips for cleaning the baked on road grime/tar off a stainless exhaust tip? I've been using the 3M Adhesive remover but it's not working great.

If its a stainless steel tip, use some Speedy's Chrome Polish. It's a bit expensive, but it goes a long way. You can use it on any chrome, aluminum or stainless steel and the nice thing about it is not only does it polish, but it also removes tar, road grime, etc. PLUS it has a silicon based wax in it so it also protects and eliminates the need to wax after polishing. I swear by this stuff, its incredible. Just rub it on, give it a little elbow grease to polish off the heavy grime, and let it dry like wax, then buff it off.

I've yet to use anything that works as well or gives as nice of a shine, but if you can't find it or don't want to spend the money, eagle 1 never dull and mother's chrome and mag polish work great too.

Thanks for the tips.

Looking at the Speedy's website there are several different cleaner/polishes - none of which are called "Chrome" polish. Are you referring to the Metal Polish or perhaps the new Turbo?

It's just their metal polish. The stuff works really well. I haven't tried all of their products, but what I have used is incredible. Well worth the money, a 16 oz. bottle has lasted me well over a year's worth of cleaning

Eagle One Never Dull worked OK for cleaning off the crud, but still left a little tar behind. I hit it with Blue Magic metal polish and it shined up nice. From a few feet away, you don't notice the small specs.

Tips have to be maintained regularly, or they look like crap and are a real pain to get clean.
