Oh man, I wrote a big write up and my battery died

The best product to use for removing stains from carpets and cloth seats in Folex. It is readily available at Lowes by the gallon. It has no scent and does not need to be rinsed out. Great product for stains. Just follow the directions on the jug and you should have no problem. You may want to get a hold of a hot water extractor to clean the rest of the seats, or something like a little green machine.

After cleaning the surface, you need to protect it. I would suggest using 303 Aerospace High Tech Protectant for Fabric. This will repel liquids for up to 2-3 months depending on how often you drive the truck.

Water spots on cloth, for some reason, are very difficult to get rid of. I have found that Folex works very well.

I am against steam cleaning. IME, all it will do is create humidity and wet the surface, it does not actually remove the issue. Several "cleaners" do not actually clean, they will cover it up.

Anyone else who needs information, just ask.

Thanks,
Dylan

I just purchased a 09 Blue Flame F150 and am getting ready to wax it in the coming weeks. Is it necessary to clay bar AND use a cleaner wax? Or just one or the other??

I will be doing the above, polishing wax, glazing wax, and then finishing with Mequires Tech Wax.

Any tips are appreciated.

I usually do not recommend spray waxes after washing. Why do you want to apply a product after washing? Depending on what result you want, I will recommend a product.

Are you wanting something to remove water spots?

Are you wanting something to enhance the appearance of the truck, i.e. reflectiveness, depth or gloss?

Or are you wanting something that will give your truck protection in-between wax applications?

There are dedicated products for each one of these scenarios.

First of all, familiarize me with the "glazing, polishing and finishing" wax you plan on using.
