Money! Ive been using Meguires Black Wax and have been really happy with the results...but i have labor day off, so im going to claybar the truck and lay a sealant! Probably goong to use Pinnacle sealant.

Autogeek.net used to be a string of local stores around town....had one across the street from my colllege campus and another one 5 min from my house. Now its only down to one store and thier very successful interwebz operation. Im always up to try whatever new hotness comes out

The question is this OP? Do you want to seal your wax or wax your sealer? It is a no brainer..

Well if you going to clay, try the Nanoskin Autoscub product. Awesome stuff! Use the fine grade since you have a dark vehicle, I assume Black since you use Meg's Black Wax, and you can use a Instant Detailer for the clay lube. Or to save time clay as you wash while soapy water is on the paint.

I've always found that Autogeek's how-to lays it out pretty well:

I pondered the nanoskin. I already use the Meguires DA attachement for the spare dewalt 14.4 in the garage as it really saves a lot of time, if Drivers Seat has it in stock, i might bite the bullet.

I bought my truck last september and it sat at a dealer in Miami for almost seven months before getting hauled 40 miles north for me to buy, so its time to 'bar it. The iridescent flakes in Tuxedo Black really show nicely after a good coat of wax

I too can vouch for the Nanoskin products. I've used their sponges on 4 different vehicles now and I'm impressed with the results and the time saved.
But OP, seal then wax if you feel the need.

Make sure you have a clean surface before applying sealant....maybe claybar or paintwork cleansing lotion after washing.
So sealant before wax, thanks! I do plan to wash using the two bucket system with grit guards, clay bar, compound, and polish before applying the sealant and wax, in that order.

Sealants last longer but don't give you that warm shine a quality carnauba wax does so some apply a sealant for durability and then a good wax to make it look show car quality. So it's perfectly ok to do both just do the correct order.

As matter of fact, last time I did my truck I did the Ultimate Liquid Wax first and then 845.

If the 845 is liquid that's good and how you want to apply it, the thinner the better.

...after both are done top it with a spray wax and use that spray wax after every wash...like weekly for instance

I would suggest Meguiars Quik Wax Spray or Chemical Guys V7. The Meg's is sold OTC at most Auto parts stores
So Colonite 845 before Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, thanks!! I also always use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer after drying my truck after each wash, it makes it look as if I spent hours detailing.

The Meg's Ultimate line is a synthetic wax. Has all the properties of a "real wax" (i.e. carnuba) but it's man made. It's harder than a carnuba base but doesn't quite have the depth that carnuba provides. To put it in simpler terms, the Ultimate line is like a half sealer half wax. I use that Ultimate line exclusively on my Sterling Gray and I'm very happy with the results. If you want to seal then wax, and you like the Meg's line, then I'd look at this wax:
