Plastidip has become widely popular lately. I think I will either be using it or the cans of spray on bedliner to fix the trim on my '07. Constantly using tire shine is getting old.

^^ Yes you could plasti dip it and then all further UV damage and sunlight damage would be to the plasti dip, so when and if that gets faded, just add another coat!

I used the turtle wax stuff awhile back. It lasted for maybe two weeks, it did work well though. Just gotta keep applying it. If you live in a rural area where there are dirt roads, it attracts dirt like crazy.

That's basically how the turtle wax is.

I like the Chemical Guys Black on Black product. It seems to be pretty long lasting, although my trim wasn't faded. lately i have been putting the 303 vinyl protectant on it.

Default Refinish Restorer

For all plastic oxidization related problems, you can use product called Refinish Restorer. It is made by Carworx and can be found in Carquest or your local paint supply store.
Being a Chevy Avalanche (Cladded) owner, I too had problems with plastic oxidization in summer and salt stains in Winter, tried a variety of products and they will simply wash away with rain or couple of car washes.
2 coats of Refinish restorer will last you all year.
There is a huge thread on avalanche site about this. Don't use it on rubber, or get it on painted surfaces.
