Best wheel cleaner?
What's the best wheel cleaner to use that will actually help break down the brake dust and road grime without me having to scrub till my arm falls off? I know there will always be some scrubbing involved but I tried the Meguires Hot Wheel cleaner for aluminum and I think that was basically soap in a spray bottle.

I'm sorry. Isn't that what its supposed to be?
What finish on the wheels. Some of the harsher chemicals that will work (used only when needed) on a clear coated wheel will wreck an uncoated aluminum wheel in no time.
Once you get them good and clean put a good coat of sealer or wax on them. It will make cleaning a bit easier the next time. pain in the ***** but worth the time.

Eagle One A2Z all in one wheel cleaner. I do hit tire and wheel with soft brush. OTC at a variety of places. Comes in silver bottle (old formula) or orange bottle (new formula) both work well.

I use a tire/wheel cleaner from a $1 store. It softens the brake dust and works like Bleche Wite on the tires. Same store sells a tire protectant with a dull finish that acts as a repellant.

You need to know what your wheels are made of / coated with. The stronger cleaners will literally ruin some wheels.
