if you have a bedliner,i saw a rake that fits between the gruves in the bedliner and seems to do a pretty good job.if i find the site again i will post it.

No need for any special rake, just an ordinary leaf rake, preferably with metal tines, will do just fine.

park on a hill, the water will do all of the work for you.

I usually take my tailgate off so the crap wont get stuck between the bed and the tailgate.

Mud dries out and becomes dirt.

Last year, when I hauled 2 yards of dirt (1 at a time), there was plenty of packed-in dirt in between the areas of my bedliner. I used a metal leaf rake to get down in there and move the dirt out.

This should work just fine for his situation. Use a shovel to get the bulk of the accessable dirt out, then the rake to get down where the shovel won't.

its not easy to do if you have mud stuck in the grooves but if its mud or dried dirt, we have broom end that fits in the lining and we push all the mud out, then put on the rain gear and giver, start from front of the box to the gate and spray it out with a pressure washer. your gunna get a lil wet if you dont have rain gear (wal-mart cheap cheap cheap..) cleans it right out though i get at least 4-5 boxsprays a week where i work and when i come out to quote them i feel like saying $300 there so bad...
