Many of the wheel examples here really don't need more than soap and water with a soft brush. A lot of the chemicals listed are over kill, use them if you want. In addition, some of the cleaners are pretty DANG harsh and should be used only when its really bad.

Cheers,
GREG

Those wheels look great! I'm a new owner of a 2014, Screw XLT Chrome, drove it home last week and your wheels look better than mine driving off the lot. I need to clean them up good, they sat on the lot during those harsh midwest winter months. Stil putting together my cleaning products. So wash then wax? And these rims are not pure metal? Chrome plated?

Wash em with some soap and water then try collinite metal wax...takes the oxidation away...it helps to damp the rag or applicator a bit first

I was satisfied. Meguiar chrome wheel cleaner then mothers chrome polish. I sprayed the wheels down then went through the car wash. Came out great. Too cold to detail in the driveway still.... Mothers chrome polish worked great!

Washed the truck three times since I got it last week. I'm due for some time in the field.

I almost regret settling for a truck with the Chrome pkg every time I look at these wheels!

I was washing my wife's Edge tonight and noticed that her wheels look like crap. I wonder if this is too bad for just soap and water to get off. The pressure washer wouldn't touch it.

Dawn dish soap works great....a little elbow grease, as they say. Beauty.

Meguiars soap and wax for normal washing.

Clay when dust starts building up.

Bug and tar remover for that pesky tar.
