Best and safest way to clean chrome clad wheels?
I've been looking for the best and safest way to clean my factory chrome clad wheels. I've bought chrome wheel cleaner before only to read the instructions and find that it says not to use it on what I have. I'm just afraid of destroying the finish on the wheels. Just washing them and cleaning them with windex and such is enough to get off some of the brake dust and road grime. What are you guys using?

When washing I spray my chrome clad wheels with a chrome wheel cleaner (no brand preference) and rinse with a pressure washer.
In between washing I clean the wheels with a quick detailer and microfiber rag. Works much better then windex.

CAREFUL. A lot of Chrome cleaners off-the-shelf clean with acid.
I like to use a PH neutral citrus degreaser to clean the chrome & brake dust.
DO keep them clean my Ford OEM chrome wheel began peeling a while ago.

Megs Gold Class Wash
On my '09 I've been using the same Megs Gold Class Car Wash that I do the body with ever since I got in. Happy so far.
I think one of the keys is to avoid letting this chore go for an extended time, I use a small sponge on a stick and bristled device designed for around the lug nuts and do the wheels almost every time i wash the rig.
I tried putting some wax on to hopefully keep brake dust from accumulating but didn't see a significant difference.

I second this. I used megs hot wheel tire cleaner all wheel cleaner from wal-mart with great results. Then a tire brush and boars hair brush on the rims. No pics but I topped it with collinite 845 and that makes wipe off easier with a quick detailer or rinseless wash.
