My sister worked at the King Ranch Saddle Shop in Kingsville. I had told her I wanted a King Ranch F150 but she told me that this would be a common problem since the leather is too soft. And she gets calls on how to fix it or they need the product to clean it. I really wanted a KR F150 cuz my grandpa worked at the KR. One day I will have one...

I no longer have the King Ranch. I recently purchased a new 2012 FX4. But, I can tell you from my shopping experience that the KR is now using the standard leather, but dying it to look like the KR leather. They had too many complaints about the leather, so they phased it out. If you purchase a new KR, you are getting the same leather package as all the other F-150's. Well, according to my dealer (Champion Ford, Katy, TX).

Water damaged KR backseat
I am a recent victim of the infamous 3rd brake light leak after a hard rainstorm and the backseat has SEVERE water damage all over it. Any ideas on how to clean the damage?

All is not lost! After my original post here, I probably could have made a few million in supporting other King Ranch owners with seat repairs. Since the original post, Ford has changed the KR seats. In fact, they are now the same leather as any other F-150 with leather. They simply dye the seats the chaparral color. So, new KR owners are not having seat problems (for the most part).
With respect to your problem, it can be fixed. The water has actually stained your seat. You asked about cleaning, and I would propose using the terminology "repair". You will need to follow the re-dying technique. So, sanding down your seat to the "leather color" and re-dying will be necessary. It sounds evasive, but the results are phenomenal. The key is to get the remaining seat area the same color as the "stained" area and re-dye it.
Private MSG me if you need additional support or details.
