Hmmm... for starters, the problems we see won't be addressed in this forum (with 4 people currently viewing it vs. the 2015 to present forum where the BS occurs with 1400 people currently viewing it). This post will die a slow lonely death down here in no mans land.

I understand its a public forum and our posts are subject to everyone's opinions good or bad but some posters spend their time just talking trash on everyone's posts and contribute nothing to the threads.

Allow only pertinent/factual/helpful info on threads. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not everyone wants to read it.

The issue with moderating that is 1) it would make for a VERY boring forum and 2) what's pertinent / factual / helpful is subjective (in MOST cases).

Yes, for this, I can't recommend the Report button enough. I do my best to squelch the typical users who just show up to bash and offer nothing productive, but I can't see them all. I do have another full-time job, school, and a one year old.

It's the nature of forums I'm afraid. I'm on 2 others that are worse. I feel the moderators here do a good job. Nothing gets TOO out of hand but yes, the negativity is strong on here. If it was too bad, I would be on here now

The forum is just like life itself. There's jerks, loudmouth's and know it all's.
I think it would be a good idea to implement the 'Thanks' button back.
Getting acknowledged for helping out puts people in a better mood.
I know it did for me. Now nobody says jack... and it leaves a bitter taste.

We still have the Thanks button. It got disabled for a few days once because it malfunctioned, but it's been back for a while now

There should be a reputation system so you can give negative reputation to people as well as positive (already here in the form of "thanks"". That way you can spot jerks right away.
