Question Using a gif animation for an Avitar?

I have tried more then once to figure out how to use a gif for a avitar, this current one included, I have seen a few people on here have them. How do i get the gif to work?

The size can't be too large. If its 100x100 or smaller, the gif will work. Took me a wbile to figure it out, thats for sure.

It's less then that quite less in fact it's 68x75 or something. It stinks

I went to a site and got the link to one. I had the Space ***** gif.

I tried the link first, it showed invalid file. This uploaded but gir is not dancing. Kind of sucks its a great avitar for me haha

Well you should be able to use a file from my own computer. I've uploaded it to that site and its been like 30 mins still loading... It's not the greatest site...
