That is a good idea. What would you suggest? I would like to try and run for it next month. Would it be by post count or length of membership or what?

Personally I would lean towards length of membership simply as if somebody wanted to enter and needed post count, they go comment on every off-topic thread we have.

But that's just how I would do it, dunno about the rest. :-)

franchi i agree with you that sounds perfect! or like a few hundred posts would be good since i doubt people are gonna sit and post that many times just to get into totm. but what would you suggest in length? a couple months?

and fomoco what do you mean? im not really following your question. are you askin how far back before you can run again?

Other sites I've been on in the past had a nomination process, instead of a member "entering" themselves, someone else had to nominate them.

This seemed to reward the guys that were active on the forum helping other people out, too.

As for length, I'd say that a minimum of 90 days membership. I would also recomend that the 90 days goes away when and if a ... oh, IDK... 200 posts are made.

And yes. I am aaall for you not being able to enter your own truck. I think this contest is about popular vote and representation. Why somewhat ruin the fun by you being able to enter your own truck? I think that should change.

Yeah I like the idea of being nominated for the truck of the month. Perhaps have a thread stickied that's sticktly for showing 2 to 4 pics of the truck in various poses, mods done and the story behind it if any.

That way, other folks could review that thread periodically and see what trucks they would like to nominate. And not allow random comments or stuff in the thread just pure truck info. I've seen it work pretty well on one of the Mustang boards.

And far as post count or length of time joined, I would say 90 days required. Post count, even 200 could be gotten pretty quick if somebody wanted to. Even though I like seeing all the different trucks on the TOTM, if somebody brand new posts, I'd rather see somebody post theirs up whose I've seen been an asset to the site and offered help / advice to folks.
