I think it would be nice to create groups for each engine. (4.6, 5.0, 5.4, 6.2, Eco )

Great threads come up but if you can't relate its worthless and there's so many. Just my 2cents.

Now I do understand your point the hits and ads. BUT...I figure that it was so nice reading about the new motors in the 2011+ section why not give the 09-10 engines a section. I'm not asking to break each type in those years apart...just let the tried and true engines have a section to chat.

And I don't know about the rest but I still look at the new engine section for research purposes. Just like I look at the up to 2008 truck section because I know people with those trucks. So just because we cut this one section out doesn't mean it will lower the amount $$ the website will pull in. Same hits...better organized info.

Just did that. Thanks for the info.

Reason I put it here to start with is these are the people that want to see it done. I figured with a healthy response the mod(s) of this section would just add it.

I think this will be great. Many forums I've been on in the past seem to fade out as new engines, body style etc. come out. I love my 5.4, there is nothing it can not handle, that I care about. Like everyone else with the older engines, I'm tired of the slogan, just upgrade to a ecoboost when someone has the question about their 5.4 or 4.6. That not an option for most people. I myself had to save awhile to buy a new truck and will have it for many many yes to come.

Exactly. Yes buying new would solve a lot of things but I can tell you from just trying....$300 more a month is just too much to jump up. I know that's my case but that adds up quick after a long loan plus the down payment. Don't get me wrong, I so wanted to do it because that 6.2 is addicting. Damn growing up and having common sense not to put myself in a bind in a bad economy. :-(

So given that info I decided to do what I can to make my 5.4 much better with good mods. But finding info on the 5.4 in our section is hard these days because they are no longer the current engine. By creating the new section it would make it easier for both current and the "new to me" 4.6/5.4 owners to find info.

Easier found info equals more hits due to usefulness.

I think a 09-10 section is a great idea.

As an end user, I agree there should be segregated sections per MY with sub sections per motor. I was just theorizing on why there isn't and why I wouldn't do it.

Totally off topic here... Who has taken their phone into the bathroom, sat on the pot pants on, and posted on the forums while your wife was outside the door yelling at your brat kids? That right there is worth the subscription fee.
