1.Fuel octane grade/ friend or foe?
2. Synthetic fluids/ especially in a higher mileage engine.
3.Thermostat choice, 160/180/195F?
4. Timing advance further than stock 10 BTDC
More?
Handling these issues (and others, upon request) gracefully w/o everybody's panties ending up bunched up over their heads, is no small test of...............a lot of stuff! Self respect & respect of others for one. I must agree that most of the membership here, has the right............"Stuff"!

Awww.... I can honestly admit that I had not read this thread before commenting on Meski's seeming EPIC misplacement.
After reading this, WE LOVE YOU BIG GUN!
Hehe. I thank you all for showing appreciation for what us mods and admins do for this site. Its not often that you get kudo's for doing a good job- but you f'up once and EVERYONE knows about it. In all reality, its not just us mods/admins. Its also you all. Without you all letting us know when stuff is getting all outta cattywompus, we might not see and fix all that we do. Alot also can be said about the way you guys/gals conduct yourselves. With the exception of a select few, just about everyone on here has been edited and notified about a "wrong doing" and taken it and moved on. Myself included. Sure, some handle it better than others but that gets dealt with also.
In short, I appreciate the appreciation but I also appreciate you all for helping keep this site clean.
