This is getting out of hand!

My professional opinion is if your phone is clean, the advertising on the app and mobile site must be subcontracted out by Internet Brands to another company who is causing this. I don't think it's the app at all. I think it's the advertising subcontractor within the app and mobile site.

I've been using the OLD app because I find the Garage Talk app to be inferior in design and user interface. Given the magnitude of the Internet Brands web presence (no, this isn't just a forum by itself...), it's absurd that the Android app is rated 2.9 out of 5, is only on version 1.1, and hasn't been updated since 7/27/16.
I got a new tablet and installed the old app and discovered that it wasn't compatible with the latest version of Android (can't navigate), so I installed Garage Talk and hated it so much I just use the web interface.
I started getting these ads in multiple interfaces, sporadically. Again, given that Internet Brands is such a large presence, the speculation as to the cause and the lack of remedies and the "we're just unpaid moderators" is not acceptable. Internet Brands is a COMPANY that is big enough to be owned by KKR. In 2014 it was purchased by KKR for over $1 Billion.
We deserve a better interface.

Consistently getting false warnings re viruses from fake ads using the forum via Web interface on Android using Google Chrome browser. Never get these on desktop, or any other website.

Sorry, they are used as intelligent filters. If you can't figure out how to block them on your devices, well... then....

no need to be a smart *****, the guy has a legitimate complaint. The forum didn't have them, And the problem just started. Also, its 2016 if you think Norton is doing anything to protect you, I got some bad news for you.

did you figure it out? Or did some programmer who wrote an antivirus program do that and you followed someone's suggestion on what to use?
