1987 F150 purchase
G'day effy owners.
I'm looking to purchase a 1987 F150 LWB XLT.
the effy I'm looking at now has a 460 motor with motec fuel injection and gas system fitted, the vehicle is other wise in good original condition. the current owner has had the vehicle for 2 years and motor was fitted by previous owner.
just wanting to know if there is any comon problems with this model eg running gear & rust issues(the welds on the firewall that have been painted with gal paint to prevent rust-I think) or what I should look for prior to purchase
The vehicle will be used as a daily driver and to tow a 1.5 tonne boat on weekends. I've previously owned a 1978 F100 shorty but was looking for something that is a better ride. As profile says I'm in Australia but any comments would be greatful.
