Default Ziebart Rust protection?

So I went into Ziebart the other day to get my windows tinted and the "sales man" was trying his hardest to sell me the $400 rust protection process. I have a 2001 XLT extended cab and there are a few places on the tail gait and bed that are starting to look a little bubbly. Process sound good but it would take the place of the exhaust I've been saving up for. Please all the feedback would be helpful. Is it a good idea or a money scam? Thanks everyone.

Default Stuff Works, But:

Ziebart does a good job, but it's probably unnecessary for your truck. Ford has done a pretty good job of corrosion control in the important hidden places, so the Ziebart treatment is probably a waste of money.

Spray the obvious corrosion with some rust converter.

If the frame components are getting some rust, get a gallon of WD40 and spray the heck out of the underbody....to hel* with the rust; get the exhaust system!

Since you haven't showed or told what part of the country your from I would assume you are in the North. Zeibart is a popular business up here in the rust belt. I had it done on my 2001 Ranger when I bought it. When I went to trade it I made it a point to show salesman that the body and paint was still cherry; that got me a grand more for my trade in deal.

Just a thought
