hey was up everyone. I have a 05 5.4L f150 and it has 228k miles on it. what maintenance should i be doing to the engine to keep it runing stong? i gor it not to long ago and I do not know what was the history of the truck from the previous owner. All I know that he got the transmission rebuild. what would you guys recommend me doing.

If that's all he told you, I'd get new spark plugs, coolant flush, and check how clean the oil is (and what previous owner has used). I'm a big fan of motor craft synth blend oil, it's good and cheap. And if it's 4wd, I'd change out those fluids as well

Coolant flush
Power steering fluid flush
Diff fluid
Transfer case if equipped
Transmission pending mileage
Throttle body cleaning
Injector cleaning
Spark plugs
Coil boots

you overlooked the brake system...replaceing the brake fluid is a normal maintenance item
