97 4.6 best ac parts?
Hey folks. About to replace my AC set up on my 10th gen. 4.6 2WD. Trying to avoid dealer prices lol. What do you recommend to get, AND who's parts to avoid re. Condenser, comp, rec/dr, lines etc. So NON dealer parts but not ****e. Thanks a ton.

Is this a trick question? Ford/MC, of course. You don't have to buy from a dealership - there are MANY places that sell Ford parts. Go to RockAuto or FordPartsGiant (or the etailer of your choice), get the Ford PNs, and then shop those EVERYWHERE, collecting more interchangeable PNs as you go. Eventually, you should have at least one Ford PN (like
) and one MC (like
) for each part. (Note that those are the SAME part.) Then shop your list of numbers everywhere for the lowest total delivered in the time you're willing to wait.
