Windshield Replacement Causing RV Mirror Issues

Windshield Replacement Causing RV Mirror Issues
Got my sig truck on a trade about a month ago, really liking it so far. Talk about a smooth ride! However, when I got the truck the windshield was cracked, dealer agreed to fix it, it got fixed, great. But now I'm having another issue. Now my rear-view mirror wobbles and bounces around like crazy because it's not secured on it's mount. It's driving my nuts, I can hardly stand it anymore.
Surely there are a few of you out there who have run into this issue. It seems as though the female piece on the end of the mirror does not match up well to the male, mounting piece on the windshield. I have tried numerous times to remount it by pushing it down harder, not pushing it down quite as hard, and wiggling it side to side. There really is a TON of play in the mirror.
Anyone have any solutions?

The spring steel inside the mirror mount is likely broken, no way to fix except replacing the entire mirror, you could try jamming something in there to take up the slack. That or they used a generic button on the glass.

Any recommendation on what I could jam back there? Recommendation on where to obtain another mirror if it ends up coming to that?
Based on what you've said, I suspect they used "a generic button". . .

Perhaps cutting a piece of plastic from a gallon jug ? When my Explorer mirror spring failed I tried cardboard but it still shook when I hit bumps.

Take it back to the dealer and make them fix it correctly!

I'm trying to avoid taking it back because I know they're not going to do a good job and I'd rather not waste anymore of my time. I'm sure they realized immediately that it wasn't quite right before they gave it back to me anyway. It didn't take me 5 seconds to notice the issue haha.

Please send a PM verifying the year and current mileage of your truck. I'll see how I can help out.

the mirror may not be 100% clipped onto the mirror bracket. when we change them, i put the mirror on the new windshield BEFORE we put it in the vehicle.
