Default Window tint on towing mirrors? Do tell.

Have you used window tint on your towing mirrors to knock down headlight reflections? What was your experience?

My towing mirrors don't have electrochromic film. I was thinking about having my tinter hit them with 15% film to take the edge off at night.

Three things come to mind: 1> durability of tint when fully exposed to the elements, 2> the effects of a heated mirror on tint film, and 3> since reflected light will transit the film twice, will 15% film have the effect of 30% film when used in this application?

Thanks.

Don't like tint of any kind, wouldn't want it on mirrors when backing at night for sure. I'd say the heated mirrors would fry it, they get hot to the touch.
