My passenger door window is having this issue. I just control it from the driver's side but I'll have to try this when I get back from vacation. It annoys me that it doesn't work fully.

Thanks this really worked great on my truck. My contacts were very black and used sandpaper on the surface area to clean them up. So far my windows are working great.

Lightbulb Mirror clicks

I'm not real sure but I think mirror rides on a gear. If mirror is pushed too far on way it can disengage. Simply try to move mirror back toward center with hand to see if gear will re-engage. Then try switch. This has happenen before to me when it was accidently hit and pushed too far

Ended up taking it to the dealership. Luckily bought the extended 3year/36000 mil warranty when I got the truck. It was only a $100 dollar deductible, rather then the $504 to change out the driver side window motor.

Thanks for this thread.. really helped me out this last week.

FYI for others.. if you're having issues make sure you clean both the individual door switch AND the driver's door switch. They work in tandem.

Thanks for the tute, J. I've had issues with the switches on my '07 since '08. Had the stealer replace the switch but two years later same problem as well as the passenger door side now. I'll tackle this on Sunday.

As an aside, apparently Ford uses junk window switches/motors since this happened to my 97 over and over until I finally traded it in. I must have replaced the driver side motor six times before I finally got fed up with it and traded it in. My wife has a Silverado and this has never been an issue with hers. I also have asked around about this problem with other brand owners and it's just a Ford problem...HELLO FORD! PLEASE OPT FOR BETTER QUALITY SWITCHES/MOTORS IN YOUR WINDOW SYSTEMS!
