I'm very grateful for your trouble to do all this. Wouldn't it be easier to just replace the switches? Considering the time it took you do this on a Saturday when you could have been done and sitting drinking beer this rest of the day.........just a 1 cent opinion....hehehhe

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead. But I'm having this issue for the 2nd time.
First time the driver door panel stopped rolling up the passanger rear window. The switch was replaced under warranty. In the last week, the same driver door panel is tempermental again, not liking to roll up the passanger front window now. Usually takes 3-4 presses to roll up that window. Of course all other switches in the driver door as well as all other doors still work perfectly.
Looks like this part (# 14529A) runs $66.43. So most likely will be making a trip down to the dealer to pick one up to install. Of course I have an extended warranty, but like another poster it's a $100 deductible and not worth the service call. So thank you for the write up. This will save me some $$$ and time.

Success
Same problem on an 04 SuperCrew. I cut a few steps out, though. Basically disassembled until i could see the rockers and contacts, then just sprayed with a can of quick evaporating electronics cleaner. Saved time and still works!

Just thought you should know, this thread saved my life last weekend - literally! I was 500 miles from home in the bush country of northern Alberta at 11:00 Sunday night. I rolled the window down to get some fresh air and the switch failed when I tried to close it. The outside temp was 28. Driving home with the window down would have frozen me.
I'd looked at this thread last week, because my switch was beginning to fail, and had planned on looking at it when I got home. So I pulled the switch apart and used a twist tie to bridge the gap that had opened up on the contact - voila! Up she went! Took about 15 minutes in the dark, but I got home warm and dry.
Yesterday I filed the contacts and bent the W-shaped contact slightly to ensure complete contact, and it now works like a charm.
As a bonus, when I reassembled the switch assembly I forgot to align the window lockout button, and now I can't accidentally lock the passenger windows!
Thanks jm! Ain't this innerweb thang grand!
