Why do you buy an F150?
Guys, I was just wondering if we all have a good reason to have a truck...I traded a 2013 pathfinder for my 2015 F150.
My main reason, other than wanting an upgrade was to tow my boat which sits about 6k lbs. The pathfinder was good for 5k but I didn't want to push the limits.
Why did you buy an F150? (hopefully this hasn't been asked already...I did search around)

Needed a new one, and the 2.7L had me intrigued.

Tired of dealing with my old truck's quirks, wanted a Ford, needed max tow for our TT, wanted loaded Lariat because this may be the last vehicle I buy, needed SuperCrew (no kids still at home, but big dogs) and got it all for a good price.

My 2011 Escape didn't like towing my trailer with my side by side on it so I upgraded to a truck. The Sierra/Silverado felt strange to me, and the only time you'll see a Ram at my place is if someone who owns one is visiting.

I needed a large enough back seat to comfortably fit 3 kids, 2 of which are in a carseat. My 05 Frontier hauled and towed everything I needed for the past 10 years, it just wasn’t quite wide enough to regularly put 3 kids back there.
If my Frontier wasn’t on its last legs and I thought it would be reliably for another couple years, I might have ended up with a 2017 Titan or a 2016+ Sierra once they hit the used market at a decent price. But I had a need and at the time and price point I was looking a used 2013-14 F150 was the best option.
The 2.7 did have me intrigued as well, and 2015's were in my price range. But after owning my 05 Frontier, which was a first model year, I refuse buy a first year model again. I loved that truck, but ever problem that could go wrong DID go wrong.

I bought a 2011 because it was what I could afford (sorry).
The main reason I went with Ford is that they offered the body configuration that I would not compromise on, and that other manufacturers didn't produce en mass - I wanted the full 4 door cab (not a small 4 door cab) with a 6.5ft bed.
