Wheel-well Liners
Are any of you folks using Ford's 2012 F-150 rear wheel-well liners? If yes, how much crud do they collect and do you think they will deter or promote rusting?
Thanks

GG, I don't have the Ford liners, but do have the Rugged liners. No crud build-up at all. As far as the rust, don't know if they will have any effect. They do keep mud, and debris from being thrown up into the fenders.

I just ordered them as part of my new truck order so I can't comment on them for Ford trucks but I have had them on my Sierra for the last 4 years. They do not collect a lot but it does keep the dirt of the underside of the body

I've had the Ford brand liners in for a couple months now, and they're great. The slick finish and gravity tends to keep them very clean. I can't speak for rusting issues, but I don't imagine they would promote premature wear, as opposed to having zero protection in stock form.

Thanks for your replies. My concern is that they might trap the winter's salt and sand and cause premature rusting.
I'm still thinking about them.

I looked at them on a truck on the lot when we were configuring mine. They are tight, and well made. I did'nt see anyhting that would make me think that they would trap anything

I installed rugged liners a year ago befor the ford part was available and have had 0 problems with them I also ran mopar liners on my Dodge2500 for 300,000 miles with no problems. I have not heard of a single incedent where the liner caused any premature rust or damage.
