In my opinion it's passable for talk shows but that's about all. Music sounds like an AM radio.

Funny cause my buddy was just telling me how good he thought Sirius sounds.
Btw, when the 2 month trial period is over you can simply sign up for another trial under a new account using different credentials. Go to this site: https://care.siriusxm.com/preownedve...al_view.action

I wouldnt bother spending the money to renew -- instead, redirect your money to something like Pandora -- and you'll have much higher quality audio (Sirius/XM is so bandwidth limited now, it sounds like AM) plus the ability to skip songs you dont like, create stations with artists you do like, etc.. This all assumes you have a smartphone...
I wouldnt spend a dime on Sirius/XM.

Sirius cut mine off to the day six months after I bought the truck. I will not pay to listen to anything so now, I have a MFT w/o satellite and without a phone linked to it. It does look real nice in the dash though.

my fiance had some problems with the in-dash screen on her '13 hyundai sonata which required them to replace almost all the electronics in the dash. bonus was she now has free sirius for like 8 months now. We think its because they replaced the unit and sirius doesn't know its on a car thats already sold. maybe it thinks its still sitting on the dealer showroom?
in my focus ST it cut off right at 6 month trial end date =/

You guys realize that my last post means you can have Sirius without paying indefinitely right? The only hassle is creating a new bogus account every 2 months.

Never use it. Wish it wasn't there. Hate the antenna on the roof. Waste of a button on the dash.

You don't have to enter your VIN. You can enter your radio's ID instead (think it's called a ESN #). They allow it because they want used vehicle owners to be able to sign up for the trial. I can confirm that it works because I'm using it right now. The original trial offer was long over when I bought this truck.

Nothing against it, just don't use it. Lots of good channels but music quality is lacking and I don't often listen to talk radio.
If I lived in the sticks with no broadcast towers nearby or did a lot of cross country, then I'd probably use it.
