Whats a good tire with aggressive tred?

For an All Terrain tire that you want to perform in the snow and especially the ice, you can't beat either the BFG AT KO or General Grabber AT2's. They are both Snowflake rated, and not only give you the traction you need, they are not loud and will give you 50,000 miles on a set. Certainly a MT tire will out-perform an AT tire in the deep snow or mud, that same MT tire doesn't have near the footprint to give you the necessary traction in the slippery stuff.
Selecting the right tire is always a compromise. One just needs to take a hard look at the conditions that the tire needs to perform in, and prioritize those needs. If not, we would all be running around on a set of huge mud tires cause they look so cool.

I went with my Cooper Discoverer STT's because they look agressive and wear well for a m/t. They hum, and they killed my gas mileage, but they look great and they perform well on the highway for a mud terrain and still get me anywhere I need to go offroad.
As for snow, I got stuck in a white out in WV yesterday where traffic on 77 was literally at a stand still cause nobody could get up the snow/ice covered hills. First hill i spun a bit in 2WD, but as soon as I kicked it in 4WD there was nothing stopping those tires up those hills
You gotta pick what fits your driving needs, everyone will give you opinions. I shouldn't have went with a mud terrain because of all the highway driving I do, but I like the look of a mud terrain so that's what I went with

Toyo Open country m/t or Nitto Trail grappler m/t both look great and wear great. I have had them all, as with anything else you get what you pay for. Stay away from the cooper stt they are junk!

I also had a set of Michelin XLT or what ever they called them on my Tundra and loved them. Great traction in snow, rain or what ever. They were only rated for 40,000 but after 25,000 ( when I traded the truck in) they still looked new. They were expensive but lasting 70,000+ miles, I think they are worth it and will be on the new truck soon. I bought a 2011 Lariat 4x4 2weeks ago and the Goodyear tires on it really suck for what I need them to do.
