Illinois tax on vehicles is 6.25%. If you are from Chicago/Cook County it goes up some more too.

Bringing this back to life. Another dealership has the same exact truck that listed in the beginning of this thread. But, it's a demo with 5,500 miles on it. I'm considering it. What should be a reasonable offer before TTL out the door. I'm in maryland and will be buying this from out of state. Thanks for any info!

I got my 14 XLT 5.0 sticker. 40,750 out the door 32,957. Had a trade so minimal tax was paid.

Bringing this back to life. Still haven't bought a truck yet. I did find a 2014 Fors Screw lariat for 49,120.00. It's build date is 01/24/14. It's been on the lot for a while. What do you think is a fair starting offer(30% off msrp) before tax, tags and title. Getting a good tax return so I can spend a little more. The loaded XLT's with leather and HID's seem to be just as expensive as the Lariats!
Thanks for all the past help and info guys and gals.

Exactly one year ago, I bought my '13 FX4 5.0, which had sat on the lot for 4 months, and had a window of 49k. I paid 36k OTD- they squealed like the pigs they are, but ultimately gave in, and sold it to me for my price. BTW, it took three trips to the dealer to make 'em come to the conclusion that I wasn't gonna pay more. Period. Remember- when you finally sign the papers- if the dealer doesn't hate you, you got SCREWED
