Default What's a fair price?

New guy here. Looking at buying a new 14 XLT. Here's the truck http://centuryfordmtairy.com/Baltimo...ruck/29621732/. They quoted me a price of 35,952 before tax, tags and etc. Maryland has a 6% sales tax and I am not trading anything in. So, it looks like about 38.5k out the door! Seems steep to me.
Any thoughts, info or advice is greatly appreciated!

That really isn't a bad quote, I just checked inventory where I purchased my truck and the closest comparable didn't have the Ruby Red Metallic charge of $395, the front seat option and the two-tone paint. The MSRP was $44, 545 and they listed an e-price of $36, 131 before tax and whatnot.

I'd say they are a couple thousand high. Check autotrader/cars.com with specs for your region - $34sh looks more in line to me.

XLTs usually have some of the best rebates. Seems like it should be $10k-$12k under MSRP.

Leather seats. I offered them 34k. The truck has a build date of 12/03/13. So, it will be a year old in December. Might just wait till next month. There is usually some good Veterans Day sales. I feel they are a few thousand dollars over. My brother bought a brand new 2015
silverado 6.5ft screw 4x4 5.3L v8 loaded without leather and moonroof for 36k out the door total. Sticker 46.5k. Don't think I'm being unreasonable on a going out model.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm not going Cheby! I'm trying to stay under 36k out the door. We'll see what happens!
