The Expy had a canned superchips tune when I had it, but my wife did not like the firmer shifts and I did not see great gains from it - so it is in the garage somewhere now.
I used to love our 2003 expedition with the 5.4 and at the time I thought it fairly powerful and fast enough. It was two years from the time we sold the expy that I got my truck so there was a fairly good gap. But I'm pretty sure that if I went back and drove the same expedition I would be sorely disappointed.

Love that Toureg and the German flag on the front.

In high school, I had an 89 F150 that was awesome. We beat the Hell out of it and it kept running. Then went to a bunch of cars. I finally wanted to get back to a truck and found a good deal on an 04 2wd Nissan Titan. It had lots of power and get up and go!!! I really did like it, except the plastic feel the interior had. When our son got old enough to kick the back of mom's seat---that was it for momma and she demanded something bigger. Luckily for me, there was an 05 4wd SCREW on a lot close to me. A few mods later, and she is a tough looking machine!!!

First car was a 1977 Trans Am with the Y82 package (Gold bird, T-Tops, "Smokey and the Bandit" Special Edition). Loved that car, 400ci Olds V8 with a TH-350. Straight pipes, rebuilt QuadraJet, Edelbrock intake. God she sounded good. Took the shaker hood off to accommodate the extra height from the intake, put a high-stack air filter on and would cruise the backwoods of Lexington, KY (Just head out Tates Creek Road!). One night I picked up a couple of friends and headed out. Went up a hill and lost power right as I hit the apex. Next thing I know flames are shooting up the hole in the hood, out and around the air filter. I pull'er over and my friend in the back seat scrambles over my seat and out through the T-Tops. My other friend and I calmly exit the vehicle. I was 17 at the time so no on-board fire extinguisher. I tried to douse it with soda but it made the flames higher, doh! Lit a cigarette off the flames and called 911. I just so happened to be near the county line so all said and done the following rescue vehicles showed up in a mix of Fayette and Jessamine Counties: Four police cruisers, three fire trucks, two ambulances, two "Fire Chiefs" or whomever drives the SUVs in Fire Department livery. When I had made the call the flames were reaching to the bottom line on the telephone pole I pulled under (oops). Naturally once the Fire Department arrived all that remained was a smoldering pile of melted plastic in the engine bay. A quick shot from a fire extinguisher and their work was done! All in all an interesting experience for the three of us and no one was hurt. Felt bad for all the emergency response people though. Giant flames when the call was made to essentially a melted candle. Plenty of emergency vehicles though! Also of note was the vehicle wasn't registered (had insurance though). Didn't hear a peep about that, so lucky there. Sold the car shortly after this incident.

This is the only picture I could quickly find. I'm on the left and my old man is on the right. We're loading it onto a car trailer attached to his 1995 F150 (Just sold the F150 this year, still ran strong, just needed some suspension work. Dad upgraded to a 97 with the 4.2L v6; just did brakes / plugs / wires on it this past weekend).

The rest of my vehicle history is far less exciting: 1988 Honda Prelude (5 speed, no mods, just a little 4 cylinder go kart). 1991 Acura Integra coupe, also a 5 speed go kart. Traded that in on my 2004 Chevy Colorado (first "truck"). Don't regret buying it but I do regret the 22% interest! Truck was 15k in 05, with interest it was 25k! Dear god young people, mind your credit! Timing chain jumped on it at 80k miles, traded it "as is" for tree service and bought my 2013 F150.

As Paul Harvey would say, "And now you know the rest of the story"

What kind of grill guard is that? It's nice. I still have my factory tow hooks. It's time to upgrade.

Bull Bar is made by Spyder Industries. I LOVE it! Don't ask about the price---everybody freaks out about that. But the compliments are well worth it!!

WOW! I just looked it up. You are right. $659 is pretty steep for a bull bar, but damn it looks nice.

Used to drive a 1997 F250 super duty until I got tired of the cost of filling it up, then I had a 1989 Toyota camry which was a pretty beat up ride which ended up being given to the fire department to tear apart, after that was a 2002 Hyundai elantra became old pretty quick having to ride with my head turned sideways being 6'6 so then I bought the f150 I have now
